It has been a while since there were any postings in this space, but there are two very promising opportunities that I wanted to share.
First - someone sent me a long list of scholarship opportunities from this website: http://blackstudents.blacknews.com/

Second - I received an email and then a call from a very eager recruiter from Northwestern Mutual who wanted me to share that he has JOBS for alumnae in our area. Now I will post the job description in a separate article, but I just wanted to tell you what he told me (and it has me wondering if I went into the wrong line of work...) Financial advisers make just as much money as doctors and lawyers! He says the issue is a lack of exposure to the profession...so take a look at the company to see what they offer:
